One difference matters more than the rest of the table.
How LinkBoss works
LinkBoss is also built around grouping posts into sections (often called silos), and will compose a sentence to carry a link where none of your existing words fit. That is genuinely more powerful — it can place a link anywhere, not only where the phrase already exists.
How Silotree works
Silotree only ever wraps words already in your paragraph. If the phrase is not there, it proposes nothing and says so. That is a real limitation, chosen because of who runs this: bought archives, multi-author blogs, and sites where somebody else's writing is not ours to extend.
Links LinkBoss placed — and any sentences it wrote to hold them — are part of your posts now, so they stay. Silotree only adds: it counts existing links as already there, never removes them, and undo takes out only the links Silotree wrote.

If any of these describe you, we would rather say so than take your money.
You want links placed regardless of wording
If no sentence in the target post contains anything close to the phrase, we find nothing and LinkBoss writes one. On a thin or old archive that difference is large.
You are comfortable with generated prose in your posts
Plenty of people are, and it is their site. We are not comfortable doing it to writing we did not write, which is a position rather than a capability.
You need it in more languages today
Our anchor work is English-only so far.
Before you decide
Why will Silotree not write a sentence to hold a link?
Because most of the archives this runs on were not written by the person running it. A tool that adds prose to somebody else's published article is one a serious publisher cannot approve, and a phrase already in the paragraph is by definition one the author chose.
Does that mean Silotree finds fewer links?
On some posts, yes, and it says so rather than filling the gap. What it will not do is report a link it could not actually place.
Can Silotree's changes be undone?
Every change is one phrase already in your sentence, wrapped in a link. A revision is saved before each edit, the post is read back to confirm the link landed, and any batch can be reversed from inside WordPress.
LinkBoss is a trademark of its owner. This comparison describes how each tool works, is based on public documentation, and was last checked in September 2026. If something here is wrong or out of date, tell us and we will change it.
